Basic Server Information

Clown Academy is a new server created in the hopes of giving SpaceStation13 players a community to play in that provides a middle ground for RolePlay and Action. Our aim is to find a balance between the highrp servers with strict rules/long rounds/too much downtime and the lightrp servers with short rounds/griefing/greytiding/teamdeathmatch playstyle. We are aiming to keep the fun of learning/playing job roles, creative and competitive antag roles, consistent change/fresh rounds without them being cut too short to have any gameplay for nonantag players, and administration that enjoys having fun with our community instead of strict limiting rules or ignoring players. We are taking a new approach to bans and consequences in ss13 by creating a clownban instead of removing players from the community completely. Clown Academy is using one of ss13's greatest assets to try and provide an opportunity to keep you playing but from a different perspective with consequences. Instead of game bans we will use clownbans which limit you to only playing as a clown on the server for the duration of your ban. The kick is clowns on this server are VALID. In fact we encourage players to grief, kill, and hunt any clowns in the round. You will have a huge target on your back and your game will now be one of survival. This will give nonantags or players itching for some robusting a consequence free opportunity to have some fun in game even if they don't roll traitor. We will offer recognition and titles to outstanding players that excel in clown kills or show creativity in eliminating/torturing any clowns with some badminfun rewards. So you may be able to connect to the server while banned but the only game you get to play is getting fucked with. But hey maybe you're a robust fucking clown and can hold your own against the constant onslaught from the crew. Can turn that ban around into fun for you if you are good enough to escape the pursuit. This is our general hopes and dreams for our new spessmens server but expect changes as we grow and develop. We want everyone to enjoy ss13 again and build a community of players with the same goals. So join up and help us build a server for the players.
We are currently running on tg code and using boxstation. We aimed for familiar but this can change and develop as we settle in so check back and visit the coding section for any ideas or feedback.
